Wise Group Faces Class Action Over Alleged AML Failures

A securities class action has been filed against Wise Group plc, alleging that the company misled investors about systemic anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing deficiencies surrounding its Nasdaq debut. The litigation centers on share price declines that followed regulatory probes and a rejected banking license application in mid-2026.

Wise Group Faces Class Action Over Alleged AML Failures

The lawsuit, filed by Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, covers investors who purchased Wise Group securities between May 11 and July 23, 2026. Plaintiffs contend that Wise artificially inflated its stock price by failing to disclose critical regulatory risks, specifically regarding compliance programs that later drew scrutiny from the Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Financial records indicate significant volatility during the period. Wise shares dropped 16.05% over three sessions in early June 2026 following reports of an investigation into $582.5 million in suspicious transactions at the company's European entity. A further 6.2% decline occurred on July 24, 2026, after the OCC denied Wise’s national trust bank license application, citing long-standing deficiencies in the firm’s U.S. operations. Investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff must file their motions by September 29, 2026.
