The upcoming game, scheduled for September 6 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, features a nationally televised showdown between the South Carolina State University Bulldogs and the Florida A&M University Rattlers. Beyond the 3 p.m. kickoff, the weekend serves as a hub for leadership programming, educational initiatives, and cultural engagement. Kendra Bulluck, Executive Director of the Orange Blossom Classic, noted that the partnership has become an integral component of the event’s atmosphere, elevating the fan experience throughout the holiday weekend.
Since its revival in 2021, the Classic has evolved into a major economic driver for South Florida, generating over $100 million in local impact and providing more than $500,000 in scholarships. Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer for Mars Snacking North America, emphasized that the company’s ongoing involvement aims to support the traditions of HBCU football while providing interactive activations for attendees. The event continues to balance its historic roots, dating back to 1933, with a modern mission to expand access and visibility for HBCU athletics.
