The new tire lineup features 85 sizes ranging from 16 to 22 inches, covering more than 85% of the current crossover and SUV market. According to Shawn Denlein, president of sales and marketing for Kumho Tire U.S.A., the product aims to balance long-term durability with the ride comfort expected by drivers of larger, heavier vehicles. The design incorporates K-Maxmile technology and a specialized tread compound to improve wear resistance by 20% over previous iterations.
Engineered for diverse conditions, the Crugen GT Pro utilizes K-Noise Defender technology to mitigate resonance and minimize road noise. Stability is maintained through a combination of reinforced shoulder blocks and a zigzag tread pattern that assists with high-speed handling and dry-road grip. For wet-weather safety, the tire employs K-Sipe Control technology and wide lateral grooves to resist hydroplaning. Through October 31, the company is offering an $80 prepaid Mastercard incentive for consumers who purchase a set of four qualifying tires, including the new model.
