MS Transverse Adds Industry Veterans to Board of Directors

CEO John Fitzgerald noted that the new directors provide essential expertise to strengthen the company’s partnership model and market positioning. Michael Angelina, an actuary with four decades of experience, joins with a background in global risk management and previous board roles at organizations including Hagerty Inc. and RLI. Bryan Sanders, formerly the Chairman of U.S. Wholesale & Specialty for Markel, contributes extensive experience in underwriting and distribution, alongside his history as a past president of the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association.

Kevin Traetow rounds out the trio following his retirement from Aon in April 2026, where he previously served as U.S. Vice Chairman of Reinsurance Solutions. Chairman Dave Paulsson emphasized that the trio’s combined track record will be vital as the company deepens its reinsurance relationships and expands its program and MGA partnerships. MS Transverse, a subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, continues to focus on its role as a hybrid fronting carrier since its founding in 2018.
