NovaGo Therapeutics Secures $30 Million for Spinal Cord Injury Trial

The financing round, led by Neurimmune and Pureos Bioventures, provides the capital necessary to launch a randomized, double-blind clinical trial. This study will enroll 120 patients across Germany, Spain, and Switzerland to test the efficacy of the company's anti-Nogo-A biologic. By targeting the Nogo-A protein—which naturally inhibits nerve fiber regrowth—the treatment aims to stimulate neuroplasticity and restore function in the central nervous system.

Prof. Martin Schwab, the company's Chief Scientific Officer, highlighted the trial as a critical milestone for a field that has long lacked viable options. The project also draws significant backing from the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation and the Wings for Life - Spinal Cord Research Foundation, whose non-dilutive contributions are helping to bridge the gap between early-stage research and late-phase clinical validation. With promising Phase 1 data for the candidate NG004 already in hand, the company is now positioning itself to address one of the most persistent challenges in modern neurology.
