Maritime Launch and Isar Aerospace Push Back Deadline for Nova Scotia Site

The extension applies specifically to the facilities usage agreement signed on July 7, 2026, which outlines the development of a dedicated launch complex for Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum vehicle. Both firms maintain that the adjustment is a result of an intensive planning phase rather than a conflict, aiming to ensure all operational requirements are met before moving into the execution stage.

Stephen Matier, CEO of Maritime Launch Services, stated that the extra time is necessary to maintain momentum on the program. Alexandre Dalloneau, Vice President of Mission and Launch Operations at Isar Aerospace, echoed this sentiment, describing the collaboration as a productive effort to finalize technical details. The partnership remains focused on the long-term goal of conducting the first orbital launches from the Nova Scotia site in 2028, a project intended to bolster Canada's sovereign launch capabilities and expand Isar Aerospace's footprint into the North American market.
