The Laval-based corporation delivered total merchandise and service revenues of $4.9 billion, a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year. CEO Alex Miller attributed the performance to momentum in core categories such as energy drinks and nicotine products, alongside the resilience of the company's fuel business. While same-store merchandise revenue growth held steady at 1.6% consolidated, the company faced a slight decline in fuel demand in the U.S. and Europe, which was countered by stronger margins and successful pricing strategies.
Financial discipline remained a priority, with normalized expense growth kept at 2.7%, significantly trailing broader inflation rates. The company is now pivoting toward a major expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, having initiated a tender offer for Poland's Żabka Group. The deal, valued at approximately $8.6 billion, is expected to integrate over 13,000 convenience stores into the Circle K parent’s portfolio before the end of the fiscal year, reinforcing its commitment to scaling its international footprint.
