The Genpact Record-to-Report (R2R) Suite targets the most labor-intensive phases of the financial cycle, specifically journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany balancing. Unlike traditional automation that follows rigid rules, these agents are designed to investigate the root causes of exceptions and apply those learnings to future cycles. The company projects that organizations can lower peak close efforts by 40% while achieving a 95% first-pass reconciliation rate.
Global manufacturer Tenneco has already begun piloting the technology to move its finance function away from back-end verification. Manavendra Sial, CFO of Tenneco, noted that the objective is to spend less time proving the accuracy of historical figures and more time leveraging them for business strategy. The suite consists of three modular components—Journal Entry, Reconciliation, and Intercompany—which can be deployed individually or as a unified intelligence layer. By keeping these operations within a client's secure environment, Genpact intends to provide CFOs with the predictability needed to pivot from basic bookkeeping to high-level organizational steering.
