The rollout, developed in partnership with the Institute for Financial Integrity (IFI), spans the bank's entire network, from its major city hubs to its branch on the Isle of Socotra. By integrating the IFI's specialized curriculum, the bank aims to standardize its approach to financial crime risk management and foreign correspondent banking. The program provides staff with access to expert-led video modules, live training sessions, and the DOLFIN digital platform to refine their technical expertise in preventive measures and trade finance.
Dr. Ahmed Ali Omar Bin Sanker, General Manager of the National Bank of Yemen, emphasized that the investment serves as a foundation for a culture of compliance. For a bank established in 1969, maintaining these standards is vital for preserving the correspondent banking relationships that link Yemen to global markets. Natalie Pulsifer, Senior Director at IFI, noted that the scale of this deployment signals a significant shift in how the institution addresses the evolving requirements of global cross-border payments.
