Dennis R. Woods joins the board of Monterey County Bank following a career defined by his leadership at United Security Bank in Fresno. As a founding chairman who eventually served as president and CEO until the institution’s acquisition by Community West Bank earlier this year, Woods oversaw the firm’s growth from a startup to an entity with over $1 billion in assets. His background in risk management and strategic planning is expected to support the bank’s efforts to strengthen its market position.

Amarjit Shokeen brings a different perspective to the boards of both PCB and Monterey County Bank. As the co-founder of the technology firm Apolis and the hospitality operator Welcome Group Inc., Shokeen manages businesses with combined annual revenues nearing $200 million. His experience navigating complex capital structures, construction financing, and equity raises provides a borrower’s insight into credit strategy and business development. Bill Wilson, President and CEO of Monterey County Bank, stated that these complementary backgrounds will deepen the bank's governance capabilities as it pursues long-term growth objectives.
