Buss joins the Renton-based company following a tenure as CEO of the North America Cluster at DB Schenker. During his time there, he was instrumental in improving operating margins by over 200% and played a central role in the integration of the USA Truck acquisition. His background includes a previous stint as COO of STG Logistics, where he managed the due diligence and integration of seven separate acquisitions, contributing to the development of a $380 million enterprise.
His arrival comes as Radiant Logistics looks to leverage its proprietary Navegate platform to unify its freight forwarding, brokerage, and warehousing services. With a recently renewed $200 million credit facility, the company is prioritizing aggressive growth. Crain noted that Buss’s specific expertise in large-scale M&A integration will be critical in maintaining organizational discipline while the company scales its operations. Buss, who holds a Juris Doctorate and is a licensed attorney in California, previously held leadership positions at UTI Worldwide, Panther Premium Logistics, and AIT Worldwide Logistics.
