The nomination process for seats 7, 8, and 9 has concluded, satisfying the internal requirements outlined in the company’s bylaws. César Eduardo Loza Arenas, previously elected by company personnel, has been put forward for seat 7. Meanwhile, Ricardo Rodríguez Yee continues his candidacy for seat 8, representing the interests of hydrocarbon-producing departments, while Luis Felipe Henao Cardona is slated for seat 9 on behalf of the largest minority shareholders.

With these internal corporate procedures now complete, the finalized slate awaits a formal vote at the upcoming assembly. Ecopetrol, which commands over 60% of Colombia's hydrocarbon production, remains a linchpin of the national economy. Its operations span from the Permian basin in the United States to significant infrastructure and energy transmission holdings across South America, including recent expansions into power and telecommunications through its stake in ISA.
