The company is currently inspecting power lines and substations across the Greater Houston area, with specific teams clearing hazardous vegetation to minimize wind-related damage. Jason Fabre, Vice President of Special Response & Distribution Operations, noted that preparedness plans are fully active as the utility monitors evolving weather models.

Beyond field operations, CenterPoint is urging customers to register for its Power Alert Service to receive real-time updates regarding service restoration. Residents who rely on life-sustaining medical equipment are encouraged to finalize their safety plans immediately, as the system remains unpredictable. The utility’s meteorology team continues to track the storm’s trajectory 24/7 to adjust response efforts as needed.
