Expo 2027 Belgrade Draws 10,000 Global Volunteer Applicants

The event, scheduled to run from 15 May to 15 August 2027, expects to host over 130 countries across 93 days. Organizers anticipate more than four million visitors, positioning the Serbian capital as a central hub for cultural and intellectual exchange. Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, credited the high turnout to the collective trust and energy of the global applicant pool.

Volunteers will fill 48 distinct roles, ranging from protocol support and pavilion management to visitor guidance and educational programming. Candidates must be at least 18 years old by April 2027 to qualify. Upon completion, participants earn an internationally recognized certificate endorsed by the Bureau International des Expositions.
