Yarbo Debuts M Series Modular Yard Robots at IFA 2026

A prototype once tethered to crowdfunding campaigns is now a production reality. Yarbo arrives at IFA 2026 in Berlin this September to showcase the final M Series, a compact, modular robotic platform designed to automate year-round maintenance for standard residential yards.

The M Series arrives as a more accessible counterpart to the company’s larger Y Series, aiming to lower the barrier for home automation. Built with a tracked chassis, the robot navigates diverse terrain—including wet grass, dirt, and stone pavers—while managing slopes up to 35 degrees and obstacles reaching 5 cm. Beyond its primary mowing functions, the unit boasts a towing capacity of 100 kg, supporting utility tasks like pulling small carts or tools.

Setup times have been significantly reduced, with the company claiming the M Series can complete mapping and basic configuration in 30 minutes using NetRTK and optional LiDAR navigation. High-speed charging allows the M20 model to recover 80% of its battery in roughly 65 minutes, enabling a daily coverage of 1.5 acres. This shift toward a modular "1+N" approach—where a single base core pairs with interchangeable modules for snow clearing, leaf collection, and mowing—gained notable market traction earlier this year, securing over $3.6 million from 850 crowdfunding backers.

Visitors at IFA 2026 can view the robots in action at indoor booth H9-122 and outdoor space OCG-137. The display will feature the M Series equipped with various attachments, highlighting a roadmap that includes future releases such as dedicated trimmer and smart assist modules.
