McDonald’s Türkiye Unveils Seven Architectural Landmarks

From the historic streets of Old Istanbul to the sun-drenched Aegean coast, McDonald’s Türkiye is redefining its brand presence through the '7 Wonders of McDonald’s' project. This initiative highlights seven distinct locations chosen specifically for their unique architectural integration, local cultural resonance, and ability to mirror the character of their surrounding environments.

McDonald’s Türkiye Unveils Seven Architectural Landmarks

The project encompasses seven specific sites: Bodrum Yalıkavak, İzmir Selçuk, Muğla Göcek, Antalya Land of Legends, Istanbul Sirkeci, İzmir Çeşme Drive-Thru, and Antalya Merkez. Each location abandons a standardized design in favor of site-specific aesthetics. In Selçuk, the structure incorporates stone architecture to echo the nearby heritage of Ephesus, while the Göcek branch utilizes a garden-focused design to blend seamlessly with the local marina and villa landscape.

Other locations prioritize functional immersion. The Istanbul Sirkeci restaurant occupies a protected historic building, offering diners views of the Bosphorus and Galata Tower, whereas the Antalya Land of Legends branch focuses on family-centric entertainment with digital game tables. These efforts arrive as the company expands its footprint, having opened 38 new restaurants this year for a total of 332 nationwide. CEO Mwaffak Kanjee stated that the company evaluates architectural identity and regional lifestyle requirements before finalizing any new location, viewing these investments as a method to bolster local employment and community engagement.
