The new models feature durable stainless steel heat exchangers and carry ENERGY STAR certification, meeting ultra-low NOx emission standards. By offering indoor and outdoor installation flexibility, the company aims to simplify site-specific challenges for installers. Louise Prader, senior director of product management, noted that these additions are intended to provide a comprehensive solution for a broader range of building environments.
A key differentiator for the GR model is the integrated recirculation pump. This component targets the common frustration of delayed hot water delivery by maintaining a constant supply at faucets and showers. Beyond convenience, the system serves a conservation function by reducing the volume of cold water typically wasted while waiting for the temperature to rise. The units also comply with NSF/ANSI 372 low-lead requirements and are compatible with manufactured housing standards set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Maintenance is streamlined through accessible air and inlet water filters, ensuring the systems remain functional over their extended service lives.
