The Sunnyvale-based software firm reported a significant leap in performance compared to the same period last year, when revenue sat at $1.740 billion. President and CEO Sassine Ghazi attributed the momentum to the increasing complexity of AI compute infrastructure, noting that the company is effectively capitalizing on the integration of Ansys one year after the acquisition. CFO Shelagh Glaser confirmed that the business saw broad-based strength, with the Design Automation segment serving as a primary engine for growth while the Design IP business returned to year-over-year expansion.
Following these results, Synopsys has updated its outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year, projecting total revenue at the midpoint of $9.715 billion and non-GAAP EPS at $15.07. These forecasts assume current U.S. export control regulations remain stable. The company maintains a focus on high-growth opportunities within its Design IP segment, even as it navigates a macroeconomic environment characterized by global economic uncertainty and shifting trade policies.
