SBB Research Group Foundation Supports Lake County Families

Volunteers from the SBB Research Group Foundation and Women United of Lake County assembled 60 nutrition and early learning kits this week. The initiative provides essential resources to children under five residing at the Family First Center, a program operating within the PADS shelter in Mundelein, Illinois.

The kits combine shelf-stable food supplies with educational materials designed to foster development in young children. This collaboration falls under the Foundation's Champion A Charity Program, which links corporate resources with local non-profits. The supplies are destined for the Family First Center, which coordinates early learning initiatives for families currently facing housing instability.

Sonia Munoz, a volunteer with the SBBRG Foundation, noted the consistent dedication of team members who participate in these community projects throughout the year. Beyond the kit assembly, funding from the initiative supports the HUGS program, an effort by Women United of Lake County that provides direct assistance to local schools and the Early Learning Club. The effort highlights a broader strategy by the Chicago-based SBB Research Group Foundation, led by Sam Barnett and Matt Aven, to tackle unmet local needs through targeted philanthropic investment.
