Noah Holdings Reports 30% Profit Growth Amid Global Market Volatility

The company’s bottom-line growth was driven by a 34% increase in operating income, fueled by significant reductions in operating expenses. Disciplined cost controls and a decrease in provisions for credit losses offset the 1.5% decline in revenue, which was affected by lower one-time commissions from insurance products and recurring service fees. Despite these challenges, performance-based income from mainland China private secondary products provided a vital buffer.

Operational metrics indicate a focus on high-net-worth clients, with the total number of registered clients reaching 469,987 by the end of June. While assets under management (AUM) held steady at RMB 140.9 billion, the firm continues to prioritize its international footprint, maintaining booking centers across Hong Kong, Singapore, and key U.S. markets. Chairlady Jingbo Wang noted that the firm’s multi-market strategy is designed to navigate complex geopolitical conditions, emphasizing the necessity for resilient, globalized advisory services in the current economic landscape.
