Pabst Blue Ribbon and Jason Voorhees Partner for Halloween Packaging

Pabst Blue Ribbon and Horror Inc. are turning the beer aisle into a slasher flick this autumn, launching a collaboration that features wearable Jason Voorhees hockey masks built directly into 12-pack beer cartons alongside a nationwide rollout of limited-edition apparel, glassware, and exclusive collectibles hitting shelves through November 13.

The partnership bridges classic American beer culture with the enduring aesthetic of the 'Friday the 13th' franchise. Robbie Barsamian, Executive Vice President of Horror, Inc., noted that the mask’s instant recognition made the packaging design an intuitive choice for the collaboration. For Pabst, the move offers a functional solution to last-minute costume dilemmas, with brand strategy head Zac Nadile suggesting that fans can either cut the mask out or wear the entire box. Brand Director Hannah Barnett jokingly reminded consumers to ensure they cut an additional hole for drinking.

The campaign extends beyond retail shelves with a series of experiential activations. The brand will host nightlife takeovers during New York Comic Con from October 8 to 11 and bring themed merchandise to The Fest 24 in late October. On October 15, the company will coordinate nationwide watch parties for the upcoming 'Crystal Lake' series, supported by custom popcorn buckets. Retail presence includes six-foot standees and three-foot bobbleheads, while digital campaigns will mark milestones like National Hockey Mask Day on November 1 and a final promotional push on Friday, November 13.
