The transition will occur over the next six months, integrating more than 200 experts into a unified structure. By merging these operations, the organization intends to foster deeper collaboration between suppliers and partners, while scaling its international footprint. John Davie, CEO of Buyers Edge Platform, stated that the move allows the company to harness the collective expertise of its constituent brands to better serve clients across the fresh supply chain.
Leadership changes accompany the rebranding, with Christopher Rheault stepping in as President of Fresh Alliance. He succeeds David Liesenfelt, a veteran of the industry who plans to retire in February 2027 following a 40-year career. Rheault, who previously oversaw the individual brands now being integrated, will focus on scaling the new entity's resource base and technological capabilities, including the deployment of advanced AI tools designed to optimize procurement programs for distributors and grower-shippers.
