Scioto Properties Breaks Ground on Arlington Brain Injury Center

At 11:00 a.m. on August 25, construction begins at 1201 Gambrel Road in Arlington, Texas, on a new 16-bed rehabilitation facility. The project, a collaboration between Scioto Properties and NeuroRestorative, aims to address the critical shortage of specialized inpatient and outpatient care for patients recovering from complex neurological injuries.

The facility, branded as NeuroRestorative Texas - Arlington, is engineered to provide a personalized environment prioritizing community integration and independence. Scioto Properties CEO Thomas Goodwin noted that the demand for these specialized services currently outpaces national supply, making the expansion into the Texas market a strategic priority for both organizations.

Christina Purcell, Vice President of Operations-Southwest for NeuroRestorative, emphasized that the site will serve patients in Arlington and the surrounding regions who require targeted recovery programs for strokes and traumatic brain injuries. This development reinforces Scioto Properties' broader footprint, which now encompasses more than 2,200 healthcare properties across 46 states, focusing on behavioral health, intellectual disabilities, and brain injury rehabilitation.
