Riddell Awards Equipment Grants to Eleven High School Football Programs

Each of the chosen schools will receive a comprehensive package featuring Riddell Axiom smart helmets, Power shoulder pads, and specialized GSI tackling equipment. The grants also include a one-year subscription to InSite Analytics, a platform designed to monitor head impact data and improve performance oversight. Erin Griffin, senior vice president of marketing and communications at Riddell, stated that the program focuses on placing innovation directly into the hands of grassroots teams to foster a safer environment for high school athletes.

The 2026 recipients span the country, ranging from Guilderland High School in New York to Shiner ISD in Texas and University High School in Washington. This effort falls under the company’s broader community investment strategy, which emphasizes the necessity of upgrading equipment at the high school level. By providing these resources, Riddell aims to support the long-term sustainability of football programs that might otherwise lack the budget to access such high-tier protective gear.
