NexTech Solutions Acquires BOOMSLANG Aerospace to Boost Defense Tech

The merger brings the BOOMSLANG MONGOOSE counter-UAS platform under the NexTech umbrella, expanding a portfolio that already features systems like MANTLE, VidTerra COMPASS, and JEFF-K. By combining BOOMSLANG’s design expertise with NexTech’s modular architecture, the company aims to accelerate the deployment of detection and defeat capabilities tailored to modern battlefield threats.

CEO Joseph Paull emphasized that the acquisition directly addresses specific customer demand for mission-ready technology at the tactical edge. This purchase represents the fifth strategic expansion for NexTech since securing private equity backing from Toronto-based Clairvest in 2023. With operations spanning Huntsville, Tampa, and Northern Virginia, the company is positioning itself to scale its support for the U.S. Department of Defense as airspace threats become increasingly complex.
