Pharmaceutical developers are prioritizing antifibrotic and regenerative medicines to bridge the gap in therapeutic options. Key investigational candidates currently under observation include Akero Therapeutics' Efruxifermin, Galectin Therapeutics' Belapectin, and PharmaIN's PHIN-214. These therapies aim to interrupt fibrotic pathways and improve outcomes in patients with compensated cirrhosis.
