Alex Foxen Targets Third GPI Player of the Year Title

The race for the Card Player Player of the Year title remains significantly tighter. Brandon Wilson currently holds the top spot with 7,127 points, but Foxen trails by a narrow margin of just 18 points, with Jesse Lonis following in third. Foxen’s consistency this season is backed by five tournament titles, 12 final table appearances, and $4,229,256 in qualified winnings.

His standout results this year include a $1.26 million victory at the Triton Jeju $75,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max event and a $594,246 payday from his fourth World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty. Since joining the Americas Cardroom roster in May alongside Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen, Foxen has maintained a high volume of success, including 14 cashes during the 2026 WSOP. Having previously secured back-to-back GPI titles in 2018 and 2019, Foxen is now hunting a third award, while simultaneously pursuing his first Card Player Player of the Year trophy after five previous top-four finishes.
