VSL#3 Probiotic Consumers Offered $20 Million Settlement

Customers who purchased the probiotic VSL#3 between June 1, 2016, and June 19, 2019, are eligible for compensation following a $20 million class action settlement. The agreement resolves claims that the product’s effectiveness was misrepresented, though the defendants continue to dispute the allegations of wrongdoing.

The settlement, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland under case number 19-cv-02173-LKG, addresses accusations that VSL Pharmaceuticals, Inc. misled consumers regarding clinical test results. While the company denies these claims, the court-authorized agreement establishes a fund to provide cash payments to eligible purchasers. Payouts will be determined based on the volume of units purchased by claimants, with potential adjustments depending on the total number of valid claims received.

To participate, individuals must submit a claim form online or via mail by October 20, 2026. Those who do not opt out by this date waive their right to pursue separate litigation against the company. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for January 6, 2027, in Greenbelt, Maryland, where the court will review the allocation plan and requested legal fees. Detailed instructions and claim documentation are available at www.vsl3lawsuit.com.
