Novogradac partner Mike Kressig will preside over the event, which gathers developers, lenders, and tax advisors to navigate shifting market dynamics. Discussions are set to cover equity pricing, evolving underwriting standards, and the intersection of historic tax credits with opportunity zone incentives. Panelists will also examine federal policy updates and state-level preservation programs, including insights from representatives of State Historic Preservation Offices across the country.
Kressig noted that while the historic tax credit framework remains a stable pillar of development, the nuances of deal evaluation are undergoing a transformation. The conference aims to provide a forum for addressing these structural changes in real-time. A pre-conference workshop on October 7 will offer foundational training on credit recapture, qualified rehabilitation expenditures, and the nuances of working with the National Park Service. The event is co-hosted by Baker & Hostetler and J.P. Morgan, with support from a broad coalition of national firms.
