Alex and Rebecca Norris Webb Unveil Three Decades of Visual Dialogue

The collection draws its title from the poetic device of the slant rhyme, where words share an imperfect sonic resemblance. In the gallery, this concept translates into pairings that connect through subtle atmospheric echoes rather than literal repetition. By placing Alex’s street-focused compositions alongside Rebecca’s evocative, often lyrical imagery, the exhibition reveals how two individual artistic voices can synthesize into a single narrative. These pairings trace a trajectory from their 1988 friendship through their 1999 marriage, building on the collaborative sensibilities they first explored during their work on the book Violet Isle.

Beyond the exhibition, the gallery will host an artist talk and a photo-poetry slide show on October 10 at 3:00 p.m. The programming extends to a master class titled 'Finding Your Vision,' where the duo will lead portfolio reviews and editing workshops. Applications for the course remain open until September 14, 2026.
