Investors Face September Deadline in Planet Fitness Securities Lawsuit

A securities class action lawsuit has been initiated against Planet Fitness, Inc. following a sharp 31.19% drop in share price this past May. Investors who purchased stock between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, have until September 14, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in the District of New Hampshire.

Investors Face September Deadline in Planet Fitness Securities Lawsuit

The legal action centers on allegations that Planet Fitness misled shareholders regarding its growth potential and marketing efficacy. Throughout the class period, analysts repeatedly questioned management about "Black Card" pricing sensitivities and slowing same-club sales. These inquiries proved prophetic when, on May 7, 2026, the company abruptly lowered its 2026 financial guidance, withdrew its three-year growth algorithm, and paused planned price increases.

The resulting market correction saw shares slide from $63.96 to $44.01 in a single session—a decline of $19.95 per share. Plaintiffs argue that the company’s prior public statements created an artificial impression of stability and growth, leaving investors exposed when the underlying business assumptions failed to materialize. The lawsuit, managed by Levi & Korsinsky LLP, aims to recover losses for those who acquired shares during the period of alleged misrepresentation.
