Expressable Becomes First Speech Therapy Provider on Amazon Health

One in 14 U.S. children experiences a speech or language disorder annually, yet over 40% never receive professional intervention. To bridge this gap, Austin-based Expressable has joined the Amazon Health Benefits Connector, allowing millions of customers to book virtual speech therapy sessions through the retail giant’s platform.

Expressable Becomes First Speech Therapy Provider on Amazon Health

The partnership marks the first time Amazon’s health portal has offered speech therapy services, aiming to bypass traditional waitlists and geographic hurdles. By integrating with major insurance providers, Expressable offers virtual care for conditions ranging from childhood language delays to adult aphasia and stuttering. The company currently operates in all 50 states with a network of hundreds of licensed speech-language pathologists.

Unlike clinic-based models, Expressable emphasizes a caregiver-inclusive approach. Patients receive personalized home exercises to bridge the gap between weekly sessions, a strategy the company claims drives clinical progress for 96% of patients within five visits. John Singerling, Head of Strategic Growth for Amazon Health Services, noted that the integration aligns with the company’s goal to simplify how customers locate covered health resources. With The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval and flexible scheduling options, the service seeks to make intervention accessible during the critical developmental windows of early childhood.
