According to the latest Mid-Year Broker Rankings from Green Street’s Real Estate Alert, the sector is displaying unexpected resilience. While the $164 billion figure represents the primary growth driver, smaller transactions also saw gains: properties valued between $5 million and $25 million rose 9.3% to $57.1 billion, up from $52.25 billion in the first half of 2025.
Brokered trades outperformed the broader market, with sell-side advisor transactions jumping 39.3%. Managing editor Rich Quinn noted that investment professionals are balancing concerns over employment growth and interest rates against a fundamental belief in market stability. This "risk-on" sentiment suggests that current macroeconomic pressures have not yet stifled the upward momentum established over the past two years.
