Dataweavers Targets EMEA Market with Azure-Native DXP Infrastructure

Dataweavers is officially expanding into the EMEA market, establishing a London-based team to address rising enterprise demand for secure, sovereign hosting of Digital Experience Platforms. The move provides regional organizations with the necessary infrastructure to manage headless CMS architectures while maintaining strict control over data residency and AI-ready deployments.

The expansion brings two key hires to the London office: Nigel McHugh, joining as Senior Account Executive, and Kingsley Hibbert, who takes on the role of Senior Solutions Architect. Their focus is to support partners including Sitecore, Contentstack, and Optimizely as they transition toward composable and AI-driven frameworks. To streamline procurement, Arc by Dataweavers is now commercially available directly through Sitecore, allowing customers to integrate platform operations without undergoing secondary vendor evaluations.

Central to the company's regional strategy is its in-tenant hosting model. Unlike shared infrastructure alternatives, Dataweavers deploys directly inside a customer’s own Azure tenant. This approach addresses critical data sovereignty requirements, particularly for organizations navigating GDPR compliance in Europe or specific data residency mandates across the Middle East. As AI agents increasingly generate high-frequency API traffic, the company aims to provide the governance and scalability necessary to handle these unpredictable digital workloads. CEO Ben Shapiro noted that the expansion is a direct response to enterprises seeking to accelerate headless and AI-first initiatives without sacrificing control over their underlying data operations.
