Vegalab and Korean Firms Launch North American Skincare Partnership

The YOULIEF product line, which includes the CICA collection and DIA serums, is now available to North American consumers via dedicated regional websites. Vegalab S.A., based in Zug, is managing the full scope of market entry, including regulatory registration, bilingual labeling for the Canadian market, and local distribution operations. The brand was originally developed by Plcoskin before being transferred to PL Story Co., Ltd. as part of a corporate restructuring.

Technical cooperation between the firms focuses on the intersection of their specialized delivery systems. Vegalab employs a nano-encapsulation platform that utilizes multi-layer biopolymer shells designed for trigger-responsive active release. Plcoskin, led by plastic surgeon Dr. Baek Woo Yeol, contributes expertise in biodegradable collagen scaffolds, most notably its TissueDerm series. The joint research efforts will initially target the development of post-procedure skincare solutions, combining Vegalab’s controlled-release mechanisms with Plcoskin’s regenerative material science. PL Story CEO Chris Jaeyeob Jung noted that the partnership aims to move beyond simple distribution toward original product co-development.
