The Chicago-based firm, founded in 2015, joins a cohort of companies recognized for navigating rapid growth while maintaining independent operations. According to Matthew Hanson, the company's Chief Growth Officer, the achievement reflects the team's ongoing commitment to rigorous development and market adaptation. Black Buffalo’s inclusion follows a period where the collective Inc. 5000 honorees added more than 627,000 jobs to the domestic economy, with a median three-year revenue growth rate of 130 percent.
To qualify for this year's list, businesses were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent, with revenue thresholds ranging from $100,000 in 2022 to $2 million by the end of 2025. Inc. editor-in-chief Mike Hofman noted that the ranking prioritizes firms that demonstrate resilience and a persistent focus on customer needs. Black Buffalo will join other honorees at the upcoming Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala, scheduled for October in Dallas.
