Following the settlement and subsequent cancellation of these units, 3G Restaurant Brands Holdings will maintain a stake of roughly 21% in the parent company. The repurchase price will be determined by the 20-day volume-weighted average price of the company’s common shares on the NYSE.
Restaurant Brands International, which operates major chains including Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs, oversees a global network of over 33,000 locations. The company stated that the transaction will be funded entirely through available cash on hand, finalizing the reduction of its outstanding equity footprint.
