CEO Angela Selden attributed the positive performance to disciplined strategic execution, noting the successful launch of the Health+ segment's new campus in Orlando. This operational momentum, combined with strong enrollment figures, prompted the company to raise its financial guidance for the full year 2026. Net income for the second quarter reached $9.8 million, a significant recovery from the $0.3 million loss reported during the same period in 2025.
The company’s Military+ segment saw revenue climb 4.7% to $85.5 million, bolstered by increased course registrations. Meanwhile, the Health+ division recorded an 11.0% revenue jump to $86.2 million, driven by both higher student enrollment and tuition adjustments. Following these results, American Public Education revised its full-year revenue outlook to a range of $690 million to $698 million, signaling confidence in its consolidated business model.
