Memorial Hermann and DASCO Launch Joint Venture for Home Medical Care

The partnership integrates Memorial Hermann’s clinical framework with DASCO’s specialized expertise in durable medical equipment (DME). Under the agreement, DASCO assumes the role of managing partner, overseeing daily operations while maintaining close coordination with hospital care teams. This shift intends to improve the transition process for patients requiring respiratory support, mobility aids, or hospital beds at home.

Teal Holden, senior vice president of Ambulatory Services at Memorial Hermann, emphasized that the collaboration provides the necessary resources to enhance service coordination for the local community. By leveraging DASCO’s technology and payer expertise, the venture builds upon the existing foundation of the health system’s current home equipment program. Jason Seeley, CEO of DASCO, noted that the focus remains on delivering a more connected experience for clinicians and patients alike. Current patients and referral sources should expect a seamless transition as the new operational processes take effect.
