This center proactively researches and builds hardware before formal requirements emerge, allowing the company to stay ahead of shifting battlefield threats. To date, Lockheed Martin has committed $250 million to the project, which has already successfully transitioned several designs from initial sketches to testing phases in just months.
These advancements have already influenced the seeker package for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 2. Stacy Kubicek, vice president and general manager of Sensors and Global Sustainment, noted that this model prioritizes speed, effectively turning research concepts into deployed capabilities. By standardizing components, the company intends to lower long-term lifecycle costs while ensuring that military hardware evolves at the same pace as modern electronic warfare.
