California Credit Union Foundation Opens Fall Grant Cycle for Teachers

The program targets full-time teachers operating within Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. Active educators who maintain membership with the California Credit Union are also eligible to submit proposals. According to Foundation President Marvel Ford, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between a teacher's creative vision and the practical resources required to implement it in a classroom setting.

Since its inception in 2012, the foundation has distributed $235,000 to local schools. Previous disbursements have successfully funded diverse initiatives ranging from aerial drone workshops and American Sign Language courses to STEM-focused water rocket experiments. Interested applicants must detail clear learning objectives and demonstrate how their proposed project will foster meaningful student engagement.
