The new digital service, which went live on August 10, provides transplant centers with a unified portal to order, schedule, and monitor testing requirements. CEO Garet Hil stated the platform aims to mitigate the risk of cancelled surgeries by automating the coordination process, ensuring that clinical data remains accessible for mandatory OPTN audits.
Beyond technical oversight, the system offers a precise tracking mechanism to verify that tests are processed within the strict timeframe. The registries have opened this service to all transplant centers, regardless of existing membership status, inviting facilities to utilize the infrastructure to stabilize their pre-operative workflows before the federal deadline triggers.
