Haloid Solutions Launches Survey on LMR Aftermarket Performance

Radio fleet managers overseeing at least 100 units are being asked to evaluate the reliability of components and repair services in a new industry study. By analyzing the aftermarket experience, Haloid Solutions aims to determine how batteries, chargers, and support turnaround times dictate long-term brand loyalty among heavy equipment users.

Haloid Solutions Launches Survey on LMR Aftermarket Performance

The land mobile radio (LMR) industry frequently tracks hardware shipments, yet remains largely opaque regarding the ongoing maintenance costs that define a fleet’s lifecycle. For organizations managing hundreds of radios, the performance of accessories and the speed of repairs often serve as the primary friction points that influence future procurement decisions. This study seeks to quantify those frustrations and successes over five to ten years of operation.

Qualified managers who complete the 15-minute survey will receive a $50 honorarium or may elect to donate the funds to the Wounded Warrior Project. According to John Pershing, managing director at Haloid Solutions, the initiative intends to bridge the gap between manufacturers and the professionals who manage daily equipment performance. The research, directed by former Deloitte consultants, will provide anonymized feedback to suppliers to highlight gaps in current product design and support strategies.
