Investors Face September 4 Deadline in Photronics Securities Lawsuit

Shareholders of Photronics, Inc. have until September 4, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit targeting the company. The litigation follows a sharp 36% stock price collapse in May, which erased over $1.1 billion in market value after the firm disclosed unexpected revenue and margin declines.

Investors Face September 4 Deadline in Photronics Securities Lawsuit

The lawsuit claims that Photronics executives misled the market between December 10, 2025, and May 27, 2026, by projecting robust demand for its high-end integrated circuit photomask products. While management maintained an optimistic outlook, the complaint alleges that the company was masking severe design bottlenecks, elevated equipment costs, and strained fab usage rates that threatened future performance.

These issues surfaced on May 28, 2026, when the company revealed an 11% drop in IC revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2026. Management attributed the shortfall to a failed seasonal recovery and operational constraints, a reversal that triggered the massive sell-off. Reed Kathrein, a partner at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, stated that the firm is investigating the timeline of management's awareness regarding the deteriorating demand. Investors who suffered losses during the designated class period are being urged to contact the firm before the September deadline.
