Deep has led the corporation as president since December 2025, following a lengthy trajectory through its core business units. His internal resume includes stints as executive vice president for both Global Operations and Combat Systems, alongside a tenure as president of General Dynamics Land Systems. This breadth of experience across the company’s diverse portfolio informed the decision by chairman and CEO Phebe Novakovic to bring him into the boardroom.
Novakovic cited Deep’s operational history and judgment as the primary drivers for his appointment, noting that his expertise will bolster the board’s strategic oversight. The company, which maintains a massive footprint with over 120,000 employees worldwide, reported $52.6 billion in revenue for the 2025 fiscal year. His transition to the board follows a long-standing career focused on the company’s specialized sectors, ranging from business aviation and shipbuilding to the production of advanced land combat vehicles and weapon systems.
