The legal action, spearheaded by the firm Hagens Berman, targets claims that Erasca executives painted a false picture of the company's intellectual property moat and clinical trial outcomes. Throughout the class period, the company marketed ERAS-0015 as a superior pan-RAS molecular glue, allegedly using flawed preclinical data to claim an edge over competitors like Revolution Medicines. The complaint asserts that Erasca failed to disclose mounting patent infringement disputes and downplayed severe safety risks, including a patient death linked to trial participation.
The facade crumbled in late April 2026 when the company disclosed the legal challenge from Revolution Medicines and released adverse clinical data. This revelation triggered a sharp sell-off that erased more than $2.8 billion in market capitalization. Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the investigation, stated that the firm is scrutinizing whether the company intentionally obscured these critical risks to maintain an artificial stock price. Investors holding Erasca stock during the specified window have until August 10, 2026, to move for appointment as lead plaintiff in the ongoing litigation.
