MediSun Energy Secures Global Rights for SBR-AGS Wastewater Technology

By securing exclusive distribution rights in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, Singapore-based MediSun Energy is partnering with Guangdong Beijing Enterprises Shixi Technology to deploy advanced municipal wastewater systems. The deal combines modular engineering with established aerobic granular sludge technology to bypass traditional, time-intensive concrete construction methods.

MediSun Energy Secures Global Rights for SBR-AGS Wastewater Technology

The collaboration leverages the technical legacy of Guangdong Beijing Enterprises Shixi Technology—ranked among the world’s top three water environmental firms—to address critical urban infrastructure bottlenecks. MediSun Energy will lead local plant design and engineering support, adapting the SBR-AGS modular units to meet regional utility standards and civil constraints.

Technical specifications for the rollout include biomimetic hexagonal systems capable of 85% nitrogen removal, alongside large-scale complexes that process up to 50,000 cubic meters per day. These modular units are designed to reduce capital costs by 10% to 20% while cutting energy consumption by up to half compared to conventional plants. According to MediSun President Joseph Chua, the partnership aims to transform infrastructure deployment from a multi-year project into a process measured in weeks, providing a necessary alternative for rapidly urbanizing regions that struggle with land scarcity and strict environmental discharge mandates.
