AdventHealth Facilities Secure Regional Honors in U.S. News Rankings

Patients across the Tampa Bay area have new benchmarks for clinical quality, as U.S. News & World Report designated three AdventHealth locations as Best Regional Hospitals. The 2026-2027 rankings highlight a broader performance streak for the health system, which secured 45 High Performing ratings across its West Florida division.

The recognition covers AdventHealth Tampa, AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, and AdventHealth Zephyrhills. These facilities were selected from a national pool of nearly 4,500 hospitals, a group where only 16% earned a Best Hospitals designation. The U.S. News methodology prioritizes objective data—including patient outcomes and complication rates—over subjective reputation, analyzing more than 800 million records of care.

Beyond the regional hospital awards, the system earned 45 High Performing ratings for specific specialties such as cardiovascular, cancer, and orthopedic services. Additional recognition went to AdventHealth Carrollwood, Sebring, Heart of Florida, North Pinellas, and Port Charlotte. Dr. Raj Wadhawan, chief clinical officer for the West Florida Division, attributed these results to the consistent standards maintained by the system's 19,000 physicians and staff members.

The West Florida Division operates 14 hospitals and 11 offsite emergency departments across seven counties. As a nonprofit entity, the organization focuses on reinvesting resources into community programs and facilities to support whole-person care.
