Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, framed the event as a direct result of recent high-level diplomatic meetings in Beijing. He invited American firms to engage more deeply with China’s domestic market, specifically pointing toward the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan as a roadmap for future expansion. The CCPIT’s week-long delegation, which spanned Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., included direct outreach to over 120 U.S. companies and organizations.

Participants emphasized that despite geopolitical friction, the two nations remain tethered by deeply integrated supply chains. U.S. representatives signaled a clear intent to maintain these connections, expressing interest in upcoming trade forums like the APEC CEO Summit and the 5th CISCE. The discussions centered on securing efficient industrial flows, with both sides positioning the current dialogue as a necessary step to stabilize investment environments for the coming five-year cycle.
