ISC2 Elects Five New Directors to Global Board

The incoming directors include Mark Barwinski of Switzerland, Australia’s Edward Farrell and Christine Williams, Canada’s Rachel Guinto, and Anand Singh from the United States. Each appointee holds the CISSP designation, with some carrying additional certifications such as SSCP and CC. Their selection comes at a pivotal time as the organization balances traditional governance with the rapid integration of artificial intelligence and emerging digital threats.

Board Chair Samara Moore emphasized that the new cohort was chosen for their strategic perspective and ability to maintain the organization’s responsiveness to a shifting landscape. The Board of Directors functions as an all-volunteer body responsible for setting certification requirements, managing institutional risk, and upholding the ISC2 Code of Ethics. These professionals bring backgrounds spanning academia, government, and the private sector to oversee the nonprofit’s mission through 2029.
